Stumbled upon this restaurant (quite a lot in the area but so happy we found it!!) the views are immaculate with the sunset as you are literally right on the water. Unlike the other restaurants, they sit on the other side of the street and its not as close to the ocean. Great service (they were short staffed at the time but still got us every thing we needed quickly). The food was good! Surprisingly fresh and their pizzas are worth the visit alone!

This beautiful restaurant was right across the street from St. Michael The Archangel Church. The restaurant has a very beautiful ocean view and it was so airy every though it was almost at noon when we dined there! It had their Brunch menu (Sat-Sun 10am-2pm) for Poke (not served in a bowl as we expected but it was all good), Coconut Shrimps (very good), and Carne Asada Kai Fries (generous amount of beef). The bill came out around $64 before tips for 3 dishes. The service was good. The atmosphere was perfect for couples, friends, and families! Highly recommended not to miss this beautiful restaurant.

Our waiter, John was amazing. Although he is a Michigan person, I am an oregonian. We made our lunch very, very cool. The food was amazing. Watching the ocean was awesome too.

Checked out a few other spots before landing at Kai and it was pretty quiet there. Had a salad and pizza and took home leftovers. 🤤 it’s a bit pricey but very tasty. Service was quick. We were there late so the view was minimal but I would like to go back during daylight to check it out. We also found out that Kai is also owned by the same company as Huggos and On the Rocks which are my go-to spots for food and drinks in the area.

Dropped in on our first full day in Kona. Server recommend the pizza, saying ingredients were imported from Italy and that two Italians who were recently here for Ironman came back two days in a row because the pizza was so good. I never have to be twisted into get pizza, so I obliged. Went with the Luau. It seemed like within 5-10 minutes it was on our table. Super quick. Cooked exceptionally well. Nice atmosphere and right on the water too. Definitely recommend!

Good food and beautiful views. Sunsets are a must at this place and their food are delicious. They serve mainly pizzas and burgers. This place is by the water so you can hear the waves crashing. Wide selection of beers and the price is reasonable. Very friendly staff and a parking close by ($14.00/hr) just get there a bit early because it gets full fast. No worries there are public parking closeby

It's a spendy spot, but the food is absolutely delicious and worth the price. The view was absolutely gorgeous and the service was fantastic. (Shout-out to the bearded waiter, sorry I forgot your name) The coconut shrimp and carne asada fries were absolutely to die for!

We stopped in for a quick lunch. My wife and I shared the luau pizza. Really tasty and a nice portion. Service was , meh. Sat there for a while before anyone came to the table. Nice gal but not a great server. Great view and good food so we’re happy.
